I'm working with a 2002 VW Eurovan gives me the code 01044 Control Module incorrectly coded. Now I'm guessing that would indicate communication has been lost. How is it possible to recode a module if your unable to communicate with it? I have a constantly lit ABS light as well as a blinking Brake light, and an audible beep three times after the vehicle starts to move.
Well, when you are doing jobs in your ABS system, the ABS/ESP control unit will change the coding to 00000, WSC 00000. In this case, you will need to reset the ABS control unit code.
Reply to 2 floor: I just purchased a MaxiDAS DS708 and still feeling my way around its software. If I wouldn't be imposing to much, you wouldn't be able to explain just how it is I would go about doing this perhaps. I would be very grateful. Have not got a lot of experience with VW computer sys.

You have to consult your car dealer to learn which channel your car is using to re-code the ABS system. Different car model has different specification.
